EHF History

The Eli Holman Foundation is a new non-profit, incorporated on March 1, 2018.  The history of the Eli Holman Foundation dates back to September 21, 2015 when the organization was known as “King Holman Survivors.”

Eli Holman was born March 22, 1989 in San Francisco, CA. He played high school basketball with the Richmond Oilers at Richmond High School from 2003-2007 and helped his team win a CIF state championship. From 2007-2012, he attended two elite four year universities (Indiana University and Detroit-Mercy). After college, Eli continued his career in basketball overseas in Israel, Turkey, Lebanon, and China. During the 2014-15 season Eli Holman helped Riyadi Beirut of Lebanon clinch a championship title. Although Eli Holman had multiple NBA offers, he kindly declined due to his love and respect of the overseas culture. He went on to play three seasons with the Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (2014-2017) in China. Currently, he plays with the Tianjin Gold Lions (2017-current) in China. This past season (2017-2018) he averaged 38 mins, 28pts, 15.6rebs, and 2blks per game.

Outside of being a Professional Athlete, Eli Holman enjoys giving back to his community, bowling, traveling, spending time with his family, horseback riding, relaxing, and watching Law & Order SVU. Eli, has had a long childhood dream of always helping others and giving back to the community. Despite, all of the obstacles he faced, Eli walks around with a big smile on his face, but has an even bigger heart. He, is currently writing his autobiography on his life to share with the world called “CHAMPION.”

The Eli Holman Foundation is established to be a charity whose purpose is to advance education, physical health, and civic responsibility through life skills training to community members from disadvantaged backgrounds.
